Anti-discrimination policies

The Equality Committee ensures compliance with the principle of non-discrimination, both direct and indirect, through the development of an organizational culture and social environment geared toward enhancing diversity and inclusiveness and removing all forms of moral or psychological violence against all members of the university community.

The Confidential Counsellor – an institutional figure provided by the Code to protect the dignity and well-being of individuals and the organization – provides free counselling to individuals subjected to sexual or moral harassment or mobbing who work and study in any capacity at the University of Milano-Bicocca. This figure can assist, in strict confidentiality, the victim of harassment or bullying, and also activate, in agreement with the person concerned, informal and formal procedures aimed at addressing the problem and preventing its recurrence.

The Confidential Counsellor will be available for consultations:
- thursday 3 april 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. online, via Skype or Meet (Google app) available from Gmail;

- tuesday 15 april 2025 from 2:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. in person. The meeting place will be communicated by the Councellor.

To access the service, you will need to make an appointment by e-mail ([email protected]) to agree on the time and work procedure (in the case of online appointments).

Anyone who turns to the Confidential Counsellor can count on the utmost protection of privacy and respect for the professional ethics principles of the Bar Association. All personal information will be handled in strict confidentiality exclusively by the consultant conducting the interviews.

Persons wishing to identify themselves with a gender other than their birth gender may apply for the activation of an alias career that allows them to acquire an elective, alternative, and temporary identity, recognised within the university context.

The University of Milano-Bicocca offers an Anti-Violence Support Service. This service is dedicated to preventing and combating all forms of violence against women, supporting victims, ensuring their protection and helping them to find ways out of violence.

The service is available to the entire academic community, including students, professors, researchers and university staff. 

The support service operates on the first and third Wednesday of every month, from 14:00 to 17:00.
