University Sport Committee

The University Sport Committee coordinates and promotes sporting activities for students and university staff, supervises the running of sports facilities and the use of the economic and financial resources allocated to these, fulfils all other roles attributed to it by the relevant legislation.
 
The members of the Committee are appointed by Decree of the Rector.
 
The Committee is composed of:
  • the Rector or a delegate thereof, serving as president;
  • two representatives of legally recognised university sports bodies;
  • two elected student representatives; 
  • the General Director or a delegate thereof, serving as secretary;
  • one representative elected by the technical and administrative staff.
The Committee remains in place for three academic years, apart from the student representatives, who remain in place for two years.
 
The members of the Committee can only be elected for consecutive terms once.
 
The management of sports facilities and the running of other activities is outsources - via an agreement - to legally recognised sports bodies whose aim is to practise and promote university sport and the organisation of university sports events in Italy and around the world. These bodies submit an annual report detailing their activities and the way the resources provided to them by the University have been used.

The cost of sports activities are covered by allocated funding in accordance with the relevant legislation, by other specific budget revenue and by any other funding from the university budget.
