Description of the course
In the fields of optics, optometry and ophthalmology, we are witnessing a rapid evolution in the instruments, devices and technologies used. The Master’s Degree in Optometry and Vision Science aims to provide innovative knowledge through educational activities on technologies and materials, optometry and the mechanisms of vision, data analysis and the scientific method.
A variety of teaching activities, both in-presence and online, are planned, including exercises, optometric case studies, projects, sharing of interactive teaching materials, oral presentations by students, student-faculty discussions, face-to-face workshops and work placements.
In business and industry, optometry and vision science graduates will be able to use and develop measuring instruments, devices, protocols and new technologies to contribute to innovation in the field of optometry and vision science. In the professional field, graduates of the Master’s Degree in Optometry and Vision Science will provide optometric services, assessing and managing the aspects of their expertise, including advanced aspects, related to visual function.
The course is taught in English. For interested students, there is also a part-time course option that lasts four years instead of two.
