The Bachelor’s Degree in Psychosocial Sciences of Communication belongs to the Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences (L-20). The program typically lasts 3 years and involves the acquisition of 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits. The internship and lab work are essential parts of the program and offer students many practical activities.
The BSc in Psychosocial Sciences of Communication has 120 places each year. For access there is a double mode:
a) An interview selection procedure for candidates with specific merit requirements;
b) An admission test consisting in the solution of multiple choice questions aimed at ascertaining logical skills, linguistic skills and comprehension of texts.
Graduates of the Psychosocial Sciences of Communication program:
- have theoretical and applied multi-disciplinary training that provides a solid understanding of the psychological processes that underlie communication and the main theories and techniques related to new media;
- are able to maneuver the processes and issues related to communication by adopting the most appropriate strategy for various situations;
- will develop careers in public institutions or private firms including advertising agencies, communications agencies and events organizers; manage website graphics or content;
- work in marketing, business or publishers communication, press offices, employment agencies, or market research firms;
- have acquired the fundamentals for undertaking different postgraduate studies, especially courses which enhance the area of communication.
