Presentation of the course

Dentistry is the branch of medicine that deals with diseases affecting the teeth, mouth, jawbones, and related tissues. A good dentist possesses extensive basic medical knowledge combined with specific theoretical and technical expertise in all specialized aspects of dentistry, enabling them to formulate a correct diagnosis and develop an appropriate treatment plan, including any necessary prosthetic rehabilitation.

The dentist's role is really important for a person's health, given the enormous importance of the mouth for both functional (chewing, speaking) and aesthetic (relationships, socializing), along with the understanding that good oral health is closely linked to maintaining good health throughout the rest of the body.
