Access to degrees with an international qualification

If you wish to enroll in a Bachelor's/first cycle degree (3 yrs) or in a single cycle master’s degree program (5 or 6 yrs) you are required to produce the documents listed below:

a) Upper secondary school final diploma obtained with at least 12 years of schooling, accompanied by an official translation into Italian or English;

b) Any additional documentation relating to the requirements for admission to higher education or proof of academic suitability, according to the national legislation of the foreign country in which the qualification is issued;

c) Receipt relating to pre-enrolment on the UNIVERSITALY Portal for the current academic year for candidates with non-EU citizenship or for the previous academic year (for citizens of the People’s Republic of China who are members of the Marco Polo Programme);

FOR COURSES IN ITALIAN:

d) For non-EU citizens applying for visas, certificate of B2 level knowledge of the Italian language (for courses taught in Italian). Adequate language proficiency in the language of the course of study is mandatory and must be documented. Only for citizens of the People’s Republic of China who are members of the Marco Polo Programme is the B1 level of knowledge of the Italian language permitted, and integration of the language certificate is permitted at the end of the Italian language course.

 

FOR COURSES IN ENGLISH:

d) For non-EU citizens applying for visas, certificate of B2 level knowledge of the English language (for courses taught in English). Adequate language proficiency in the language of the course of study is mandatory and must be documented. 

 

All documents issued by CIMEA within the framework of the agreement stipulated with the University of Milano-Bicocca (Verification certificate; Certificate of Correspondence downloadable free of charge on the CIMEA portal from the ARDI - Automatic Recognition Database Italia platform or Certificate of Comparability), if required, must be sent to the following e-mail address [email protected]   no later than 30 September 2024The same e-mail [email protected]  is available for any clarifications.

The University may require each candidate to produce further documentation to evaluate the international qualification. Failure to submit documentation, submission of qualifications unsuitable for the level of the chosen course and/or submission of false documentation will result in a report to the Head of procedure for the adoption of appropriate measures.

Non-EU citizens applying for a visa must register on the UNIVERSITALY Portal under “International Students” to apply for an entry visa (type D - study) by 30 June 2024.  Enrolment will only be finalized once the student has obtained a student visa for Italy, which is issued at the sole discretion of the Italian Consulate or Embassy abroad, irrespective of the student’s academic eligibility.

Refusal or failure to obtain an entry visa by 30 January 2025 will result in career termination for all courses that are not formally offered exclusively online.

d) Receipt relating to pre-enrolment on the UNIVERSITALY Portal for the current academic year for candidates with non-EU citizenship or for the previous academic year (for citizens of the People’s Republic of China who are members of the Marco Polo Programme);
