OBJECTIVES
The course aims to provide students with specific training in the fields of cardiac surgery, cardiology and cardioanesthesia with particular regard to complex diseases affecting adults (heart failure surgery, heart transplantation, ventricular assistance, ECMO, mitral valve surgery and of the aortic valve, thoracic aorta surgery) and infants and children (congenital cyanogenic and non-cyanogenic pathologies, ventricular transplant and assistance, ECMO) Furthermore, the anesthetic and cardiological approach to the aforementioned pathologies will also play a leading role in this Master. The extension of the master to both European and non-EU students is fundamental to facilitate cultural and scientific exchanges between the various students and between students and professors.
