The Bachelor’s Degree in Imaging and Radiotherapy techniques (qualification required for the profession of Imaging and Radiotherapy technician) belongs to the Class of Degrees in Technical Healthcare Professions, has a duration of three years and involves the acquisition of 180 university study credits (CFUs) leading to the award of the degree.
The official language of the course is Italian.
At the end of the course, the qualification of Degree in Imaging and Radiotherapy techniques (qualification required for the profession of Imaging and Radiotherapy technician) is issued.
The qualification enables access to first-level postgraduate programmes, specialist training courses, Master’s Degree courses in Technical Healthcare Profession Sciences without study deficits and other classes launched at the University of Milano-Bicocca or at other universities in accordance with the procedures set out in their respective regulations.
Graduates in Imaging and Radiotherapy techniques can register with the Professional Guild of Radiography Technicians, provided they pass the state exam.
The Degree intends to provide solid cultural and methodological preparation in Diagnostic Imaging in the field of:
- Traditional Radiology
- Computer Tomography
- Angiography
- Magnetic Resonance
- Health Physics
- Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine.
In these fields, the Degree provides graduates with solid technical and practical skills.
The Degree also trains professional figures who fit well into the current complex health and social care situation, with knowledge of Radiation Protection, Psychology, Ethics and Professional Deontology, Hygiene, Healthcare Planning, Economics and Business Organisation.

The Call for Application - A.Y. 2024/2025 will be published after the issuance of the Ministerial Decree regulating the tests
