The University of Milano-Bicocca is pleased to welcome all the incoming students from its Partner Universities all around the world!

Thanks to the Erasmus+ programme and thanks to UniMiB International Cooperation Agreement , you will have the opportunity to be a part of a new community, discovering its services and experiencing what life in a different educational system looks like. You are welcome to share your knowledge and cultural background with all the students you will meet during your stay.

Please, read the following sections in order to get ready for your Erasmus+ at the University of Milano-Bicocca.

PLEASE NOTE:

E-learning is the online platform used by our University to manage all aspects of the teaching of each course of study within each department.
The platform is a useful communication tool between lecturers and students and provides all the information on the subjects and materials used in the classroom. 

How can you find the syllabus?

  1. Select your Faculty
  2. Select the Degree
  3. Courses
  4. Choose the more recent academic year
  5. Choose the year of the course

Once here you will find the courses with their code, the ECTS (1 ECTS corresponds to 1 CFU), and the syllabus on the left.

The University of Milano-Bicocca will welcome you with its Bicocca University Angels- BUA, a team of students like you who have already had an Erasmus experience during their studies and are looking forward to supporting you during your mobility. Each Department has at least one Angel who is ready to support you.

If you have been selected by your Home University for a mobility period, please wait until your Home University nominates you officially. 

The nomination period’s deadlines are 

- Autumn Term/full year: May 20th

- Spring Term: October 20th
 


First semester: in June nominated students will receive an acceptance letter and the instructions for application from [email protected]

The application period deadline is:

- June 30th

 

Second semester: in November nominated students will receive an acceptance letter and the instructions for application from [email protected]

The application period deadline is:

- November 30th

 

Do not try to complete the application process before receiving your acceptance letter.

Students who come for a mobility period should have:

- B2 English for courses taught in English

or

- B1 Italian or UniMiB compulsory Italian language course* if you wish to take courses taught in Italian

*The Italian language course will be held before the beginning of each semester (as specified on the acceptance letter).

In order to help you achieve a successful mobility period, the University of Milano-Bicocca has organized different events to welcome you:

Welcome Day

The event is mandatory.

For the First semester and full year the event will take place in the last week of September.

For the Second semester the event will take place in the last week of February.

You will receive all details via mail by the Bicocca University Angels.

 

How-To Sessions

This mandatory event will help students become familiar with UniMiB platforms. The students will learn how to gain access with their credentials, find the study subjects and more.

On the Welcome Day students will learn the date of their How-To Session.


If your University is connected to the Erasmus Without Paper network (EWP), your OLA will be directly processed by your Eramsus Coordinator only after your enrolment is completed.


If your University is NOT connected to the EWP network, you have to send your OLA in PDF to: [email protected].

Only for students enrolled to the following departments: 

  • Department of Economics Management and Statistics-DEMS
  • Department of Business and Law-Di.SEA.DE
  • Department of Statistics and Quantitative Methods-DISMEQ

you have to send your OLA to: [email protected]

Remember that your OLA must indicate:

  • The name and code of the courses

  • The signatures of both coordinators (Unimib)


CHANGES TO OLA

You will have two months from the beginning of the lessons to change and submit the final version of your OLA with the exception of the School of Economics students that will have one month. In case you want to change your OLA you will have to fill in the During the Mobility section together with the Before the Mobility section.


This is the European OLA ready to use in case your Home University is not connected to EWP and you also do not have a PDF format to fill in: 

The University of Milano-Bicocca will provide liability and accident insurance for all students.

This insurance covers accidents that occur for work or study purposes on campus. It does not cover accidents on the way to and back from campus.

The application for the Erasmus programme does not include accomodation.

If you are looking for accommodation you can check the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) website or contact the ESN volunteers at [email protected].

 

If you are a student of the first semester and you would like to extend your mobility to the second semester all you need to do is to fill in the extension mobility form.

The document must be filled with all the signature required.

Certificate of Arrival

The certificate confirms your first in-person contact with our university.

If you attend the Italian language course, the date of arrival will be the first in-person lesson of the course.

If you do not attend the Italian language course, you will receive the certificate on the Welcome Day.

You can use your home university's template or ask for ours.

 

Certificate of Departure

The certificate confirms the end of your mobility period.

The departure date coincides with that of your last exam taken and registered.

If you need to have a different date on your certificate, you need to make an appointment with the International Helpdesk using the following link.

The International Helpdesk is in Building U17 - IPAZIA, counter 5, and is scheduled on Wednesday, from 9:30 to 12:30.

 

Transcript of Records

The Erasmus Office sends the Transcript of Records (ToR) with all your passed exams within two months from your departure to your university and to you.

Here you can find the document for the authorization to take exams after the termination of the Erasmus mobility period.

After you filled in the document and you got it signed by both your coordinator from the sending institution and the coordinator from the University of Milano-Bicocca, you can send it to the following mail: [email protected].

Tax Code

The tax code ("codice fiscale") is an identification code issued by the Ministry of Finance.

You need to make an appointment with Agenzia delle Entrate. If you need support on how to get it, check this link.
