Biography

Tania Pagotto is post-doctoral research fellow in Law and Religion within the project Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action. Previously, she was a research fellow at the Bicocca Centre for Law and Plural Society - Law and Pluralism (BiLap)

She deepend the topic of conscientious objections during her PhD at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, with a thesis entitled A sustainable accommodation: the interruption of pregnancy in Italy, Spain and Mexico. She graduated with honours from the University of Padua, with a thesis in English entitled The legal status of established religions. Freedom of conscience in England and Israel

She has carried out research fellowships in England (Oxford), Germany (Max Planck Institute), the United States (BYU) and Wales (Center for Law and Religion, Cardiff).
