Biography

Associate Professor in Sociolgy of Culture. PhD in Applied Sociology and Research Methods (2008-University of Milan-Bicocca). She was awarded with the “Endeavour Research Fellowship” (Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations), and conducted research on media representations of gender relations in parenting practices in Sydney. From 2008 to 2012 she was post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Sociology and Social Research, University of Milan-Bicocca. The themes that characterize her research relate to areas of Sociology of Culture, with a particular focus on Social Theory of Gender, Families, Media, Youth Condition and Social Movements.

Scientific director of www.intervistautori.org the first Italian sociological podcast.
