Biography
Associate Professor of Sociology of Culture
Vice-Rector for Equal Opportunities and Diversity
She holds a PhD in Applied Sociology and Research Methods (2008, University of Milan-Bicocca). She was awarded the Endeavour Research Fellowship (Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations), during which she conducted research in Sydney on media representations of gender relations in parenting practices. She also received a fellowship from the DAAD – Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (German Academic Exchange Service), carrying out research at the Cornelia Goethe Centre, Goethe University Frankfurt.
She was the recipient of the Canada-Italy Innovation Award 2024, an international award conferred by the Embassy of Canada in Italy. The awarded research project, CAPTIVATE: Comparative Analysis of GBV Institutional Campaigns, was conducted at the University of Alberta, Institute for Intersectionality Studies.
Her research focuses on the Sociology of Culture, with particular attention to gender theory, families, media, youth conditions, and social movements.

Her main research interests include Gender Issues, Transition to Adulthood, Family Life, and Male Violence Against Women.
