Biography

Associate Professor in Sociolgy of Culture. PhD in Applied Sociology and Research Methods (2008-University of Milan-Bicocca). She was awarded with the “Endeavour Research Fellowship” (Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations) - and conducted research on media representations of gender relations in parenting practices in Sydney - and with the DAAD - Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst” (Servizio Tedesco per lo Scambio Accademico) - and conducted research at the Cornelia Goethe Centrum, Frankfurt Universität. From 2008 to 2012 she was post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Sociology and Social Research, University of Milan-Bicocca. The themes that characterize her research relate to areas of Sociology of Culture, with a particular focus on Social Theory of Gender, Families, Gender Based Violence, Media, Youth Condition and Social Movements.

Scientific Director of Intervistautori the first Italian sociological podcast.

Research

I am part of the proposing team of a Horizon H2020 project (ALLINTERACT) started in 2020, a PRIN (Mapping youth futures: forms of anticipation and youth agency) started in 2019, and the Italian Lives qualitative longitudinal survey (ITA.LI) started in 2019.
