The University of Milano-Bicocca continues to be a valuable stepping stone into the job market. According to the 2025 AlmaLaurea Report on graduate profiles and employment conditions, 92.3% of the university’s master’s graduates are employed five years after graduation—an improvement from 89.8% the previous year.

Short-term employment figures are also impressive: 87.8% of Bicocca’s two-year master’s graduates are working one year after graduation, significantly above the national average of 75.7% recorded in 2024. Permanent contracts have also increased, now representing 36.1% of employment. Additionally, 60.2% of graduates consider their degree to be effective for their current job. Among bachelor’s graduates who do not continue their studies, the employment rate one year after graduation is 84.6%, compared to the national average of 78.6%.

The employment survey covered a total of 13,183 Bicocca graduates, focusing on graduates from first- and second-level degree programmes who completed their studies in 2023 (interviewed one year later), and second-level graduates from 2019 (interviewed after five years). At the national level, the 2025 AlmaLaurea survey included 690,000 graduates from 81 universities for employment data and over 305,000 from 80 universities for graduate profiles.

For Milano-Bicocca, the findings also highlight a strong link between university education and employment, aided by students’ ability to balance study and work: 75.3% of Bicocca students worked during their studies—well above the national average of 66.7%.

Academically, Bicocca stands out for its on-time graduation rate: 68.4% of students complete their degrees within the standard timeframe, with an average graduation age of 25.1 years, lower than the national average of 25.8. Overall satisfaction is also high: 91.6% of graduates report being satisfied with their university experience, and 75.4% would choose the same degree and university again.

“The AlmaLaurea 2025 report confirms that our graduates are well prepared for the job market,” says Mario Mezzanzanica, Vice-Rector for Advanced Education and Job Placement. “These positive results strengthen our commitment to innovating our degree programmes, placement services, and student development initiatives.”
