It will be called "Media, Languages and Communication in a Global Scenario" and will start in April 2024.
The aim is to train communication and multimedia publishing professionals with specific knowledge of Oriental languages and cultures, capable of using the languages of marketing and the metaverse in an international context. The entry requirement is a knowledge of one of Chinese, Japanese and Arabic, which will be perfected during the course.
Participants will then hone their communication skills through a combination of theoretical and practical approaches, with workshops on digital ethnography techniques, digital radio and podcasting theories and techniques, digital marketing, equity strategies, diversity & inclusion, interactive visual storytelling, intercultural advertising communication, press office and event organisation, Italian linguistics and translation, political philosophy with a focus on the relationship between media, language and power, Korean language workshop, English for business and communication, and finally the basics of Middle Eastern dialect.
In addition, there will be the opportunity for 350 hours of internships in international companies, publishing houses and media content producers, newsrooms, press offices and NGOs for international cooperation.
"The Master is a response to the needs of a constantly evolving and increasingly interconnected world and fills a training gap that has been reported by several voices (students, teachers, communication operators)," emphasises Federica Da Milano, linguist and Director of the Master. "The basic idea is to enhance the linguistic, communicative and cultural aspects of Italian in a two-way exchange relationship with the linguistic, communicative and cultural spheres of Eastern countries.
To be admitted to the Master's course, you must apply by 1 March 2024. Courses begin on 10 April 2024 and end on 29 March 2025.
