On October 5th, an institutional meeting was held between a broad delegation from our University and representatives from Osaka Metropolitan University (OMU), the largest public university in Japan.
The meeting was attended by Professor Masahide Takahashi (Vice President for International Affairs) and Ms. Kazuko Uwasu (Director of OMU Global Planning).
Welcoming them on behalf of Milano-Bicocca were Professor Giuseppe Gorini (Vice Dean for International Development and Academic Cooperation), Professor Maria Luce Frezzotti (Delegate for International Relations with Japan and MENA Countries), Professor Piercarlo Mustarelli (Director of the Department of Materials Science), Professor Matteo Fossati (Vice Director of the Department of Physics), Professor Valentina Alda Carozzi (International Mobility Coordinator for the School of Medicine and Surgery), and representatives from the International Relations Development Office.
The main objective of the meeting was to foster mutual acquaintance and identify potential synergies and strategic areas of cooperation. During the presentations, the Japanese delegation expressed great appreciation for the warm welcome and the academic profile of our University.
The meeting concluded with both institutions reaffirming their mutual interest in establishing an official partnership.
