The webinar addresses one urgent neuroethical issue at the societal level. What are
neurotechnologies? Why do they threaten human rights? What is their potential in medicine?
How can we address their risks effectively? The webinar will address these questions, paying
specific attention to the ethical and legal problems posed by neurotechnological innovation
SPEAKER
Silvia Salardi is Associate Professor of Philosophy of Law and Bioethics. She has dedicated the past
15 years to analyse and discuss changes brought about by emerging technologies within medicine
and to propose governance pathways to address the ethical-legal questions arising from
unprecedented technological innovation.
