From initiatives to promote and protect the rights of children and adolescents to psychoforensic expert assessment and technical consulting. From environmental data analysis and an excellence programme for managers and entrepreneurs to a course for the recognition of the osteopathic profession. These are the professional fields at the heart of the five new Master’s programmes, advanced courses and executive programmes offered for the first semester of the 2026/27 academic year by Bicocca Academy, the University of Milano-Bicocca’s School of Higher Education, which develops the University’s postgraduate educational offering. A total of 30 programmes will begin in the autumn, as part of an overall offering of approximately 90 Master’s programmes and courses.
“Designing multiprofessional initiatives to promote and protect the rights of children and adolescents” (PROXIMA) is a first-level Master’s programme promoted in collaboration with UNICEF Italia. It trains professionals capable of working within the legal framework for the protection of minors, designing initiatives to support their rights and building child-safeguarding systems by integrating different disciplinary perspectives into consistent and effective actions. It is an interdisciplinary programme — encompassing legal, psychological, pedagogical, medical and social perspectives — an interinstitutional programme — involving more than 40 partner organisations, including courts, social cooperatives, foundations and international organisations, which have participated since the programme’s design stage and are involved in teaching and internships — and an interdepartmental programme, with five Milano-Bicocca departments sharing scientific responsibility for the educational project. The Master’s programme is supported by Fondazione Francesca Rava NPH Italia ETS, which is providing a scholarship for students experiencing financial hardship.
The Executive Master in “Business Administration” (EMBA) is a second-level university Master’s programme designed and delivered by the University of Milano-Bicocca for Assolombarda Servizi. Intended for managers, entrepreneurs and professionals affiliated with Assolombarda, it is an excellence programme for those wishing to strengthen their skills and successfully address contemporary managerial challenges. Thanks to a flexible part-time format combining in-person lessons, live webinars and e-learning, the EMBA allows participants to balance education, professional activities and personal life. The programme encourages discussion among people with different experiences and backgrounds, enriched by a high-profile faculty and contributions from managers and entrepreneurs. The experience is completed by social dinners, informal opportunities dedicated to networking and building lasting professional relationships. At the end of the Master’s programme, participants develop an integrated vision of business and advanced managerial skills, essential for leading organisations and change processes in increasingly complex and dynamic contexts.
The second-level Master’s programme in “Psychoforensic expert assessment and technical consulting” aims to train psychologists and doctors to perform the roles of court-appointed expert, court-appointed technical consultant and party-appointed technical consultant, enabling them to use their clinical expertise in forensic settings and contribute to the management, definition and resolution of complex legal cases. Unique in its field, the programme’s multidisciplinary approach combines legal knowledge with contributions from psychiatry, neurology, clinical psychology, neuropsychology, forensic medicine, criminology and cognitive and affective neuroscience. The Master’s programme pays particular attention to practical applications, including the acquisition of the most appropriate testing tools for expert assessment activities. This will be achieved through lectures, discussions and exercises based on forensic cases, as well as other interactive activities with experts in the field. These skills will be applied in Italian courts, public prosecutors’ offices, law firms and organisations and institutions protecting children and adults in vulnerable circumstances.
The first-level Master’s programme in “Environmental Data Monitoring and Analysis” (MANDA) is funded by ARPA Lombardia, the Regional Environmental Protection Agency of Lombardy. This free programme trains highly qualified specialists capable of interpreting natural environmental processes and human-induced changes in depth. The educational activities are based on solid scientific preparation, enabling participants to understand the dynamics of soil, water, the atmosphere and noise through the use of advanced methodologies and cutting-edge techniques. The Master’s programme teaches the correct use of sensors for field measurements and satellite- and drone-based remote-sensing systems, in accordance with national and international protocols and regulations. At the same time, the programme focuses on the use of specialist software for statistical, geostatistical and modelling analyses and for the organisation of complex geographical databases, as well as on developing technical and scientific communication skills.
The “Supplementary course preparatory to the recognition of the osteopathic profession” is intended for professionals holding an osteopathy qualification or equivalent European qualifications. Its objective is to provide the supplementary skills required to access the procedure for recognising the equivalence of qualifications and to be admitted to the professional qualifying examination. Delivered through e-learning, the course supplements participants’ previous education through the subjects required as part of the recognition process.
