
Diversity and Inclusion in Contemporary European Higher Education Systems – Focus on Universal Design of Learning
The University of Milano-Bicocca announces the call for applications to participate in the INVEST Winter School 2025, organized within the framework of the European Universities Initiative – INVEST (INnoVations of REgional Sustainability: European UniversiTy Alliance).
The Winter School, coordinated by the University of Agribusiness and Rural Development in Plovdiv (Bulgaria), will take place in two phases:
- Online phase: November 3–21, 2025
- On-site phase: December 1–5, 2025, in Plovdiv (Bulgaria)
The program will be entirely in English and will focus on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as a tool to promote diversity and inclusion in academic contexts.
Activities will include:
- Lectures by international experts
- Practical workshops on UDL implementation
- Case study analysis
- Group work and role-playing
- Visits to inclusive education institutions
- Cultural and social activities
Participation grants 3 ECTS credits, and travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the INVEST project.
Eligibility
Applications are open to students enrolled in the 2025/2026 academic year at the University of Milano-Bicocca, in the Department of Human Sciences for Education “Riccardo Massa”, for the degree programs listed in the official call.
A B2 level of English proficiency is required.
