
Diversity and Inclusion in Contemporary European Higher Education Systems – Focus on Universal Design of Learning
The University of Milano-Bicocca is pleased to announce the call for applications for the INVEST Winter School 2025, organized within the framework of the European Universities Initiative – INVEST (INnoVations of REgional Sustainability: European UniversiTy Alliance).
The Winter School, coordinated by the University of Agribusiness and Rural Development in Plovdiv (Bulgaria), will take place in two phases:
- Online phase: November 3–21, 2025
- In-person phase: December 1–5, 2025, in Plovdiv (Bulgaria)
The program focuses on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as a pathway to foster diversity and inclusion in higher education. Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical tools through:
- Lectures by international experts
- Hands-on workshops on UDL application
- Case study analysis and real-life scenarios
- Group activities and role-playing
- On-site visits to inclusive education facilities
- Cultural activities and networking events
The Winter School will be held entirely in English and awards 3 ECTS credits. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the INVEST project.
Eligibility
The call is open to students regularly enrolled at the University of Milano-Bicocca for the academic year 2025/2026 in the degree programs listed in the official call (Undergraduate, Master’s, and Single-cycle Master’s courses of the Department of Human Sciences for Education “Riccardo Massa”). A minimum B2 level of English is required.
