To celebrate its first academic year, the Doctoral Program Strategic Innovation for Sustainable and Smart Ecosystems (SIS2E) organizes an academic ‘launch event’ on June 12^th^, 2025. In line with its multidisciplinary character, the program focuses on the alignment of disruptive innovation and well-being. We wonder how digital technologies, driven by an ecosystem approach, can contribute to effective and efficient healthcare, specialized and performing industries, and smart cities offering quality of life.
We welcome three internationally renowned speakers for these respective topics, guaranteeing rigor and relevance: Prof. Marco Nobile (Università di Ca' Foscari), Dr. Erik Gallo (ENI) and Prof. Nicos Komninos (Urenio Research, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki).
Further, managers from SIS2E partner companies A2A, AVSI, ENI, Intesa San Paolo, and Italfarmaco will join our Rector Prof. Giovanna Iannantuoni in a panel discussion to uncover how innovations can be both disruptive and sustainable. During the closing lunch gathering, participants will be able to network and discuss with the SIS2E students which display their research projects in a poster session.
The event starts sharply at 10AM and closes at 2PM.
At the event, we welcome and representatives from institutes and departments being part of the University of Milano-Bicocca, or organizations participating in the Bicocca ecosystem (prospective).
