The University of Milano-Bicocca promotes the transfer of research results onto the market through patents, Spin-Offs and Start-Ups in various fields.
The aim of the University is to contribute to the development of society by promoting the cultural and civic growth of individuals and supporting a culture
based on the universal values of human rights, peace, international solidarity and environmental protection.
The University pursues this aim through scientific research activities, by transferring and deploying its research findings and through higher education.
The Sector for the Enhancing of Research is the University's strategic, operative and procedural reference point for the promotion of research and intellectual property rights. It deals with the management and transfer of intellectual property rights, based on the results of activities pursued by research groups and single researchers at the University.
Intellectual Property Management
The University's policy for the promotion of research and intellectual property rights is described in the document "Strategic guidelines and operative policy for the promotion of research and intellectual property rights of the University of Milano-Bicocca", approved by the Board of Directors on 15th December 2015.
The guidelines apply to "Researchers" of the University who generate or achieve "Intangible Assets" as a result of their pursuit of research activities pertaining to their functions.
