I was born in 1964 in Milano, where I live and work.

I graduated cum laude in Geological Sciences in 1989 at the University of Milano, with a thesis in volcanology. In 1993 I accomplished the PhD in Earth Sciences with a thesis in marine geophysics and structural geology.

I had been a junior reasearch fellow with the marine geology research group of the University of Milano until 1997. From 1997 to 2001 I have held a technical position for engeneering geology and environment at Regione Lombardia.

Since the end of 2001 I have worked as a technician at the Earth and Environment Department of the University of Milano-Bicocca, where I coordinate the engeneering geology laboratories. My main tasks are the characterization of the physical properties of soils and rocks and the microCT analysis of geological and artificial materials.

I support undegraduate students and PhD students during their experimental work.

I work with several Italian and foreign Universities and Research Centers and with engeneering consulting services.
