Today, Monday 8 July, an academic cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Milano-Bicocca and the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), on behalf of the University of Nevada, Reno.
The aim of this international cooperation agreement is to facilitate academic cooperation between the two universities, strengthening links in various fields, with particular emphasis on teaching, research, cultural promotion and exchanges of faculty, students and technical-administrative staff.
The agreement was signed by Marco Emilio Orlandi, Vice-Rector of the University of Milano-Bicocca, and Brian Sandoval, President of the University of Nevada, Reno, during a meeting held at the University of Milan in the presence of representatives from both institutions.
The agreement already foresees future collaboration between researchers and students from the University's Global Water Centre (directed by Prof. Sudeep Chandra) and the Inland waters ecology and management group (directed by Prof. Barbara Leoni) of the department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (DISAT).
