A new agreement to strengthen international cooperation in research and higher education.
The University of Milano-Bicocca, Fondazione Bicocca and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology – KAUST have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of developing new opportunities for collaboration between Italy and Saudi Arabia.
The agreement strengthens Milano-Bicocca’s international dimension and paves the way for the development of joint projects in advanced research and higher education, while also creating new opportunities for mobility and exchange for academic staff, researchers and students.
The agreement stems from the desire to establish a lasting bridge between the institutions and to enhance their respective scientific expertise, bringing together experience and projects in strategic areas of research.
The signing of the agreement was accompanied by a meeting dedicated to presenting the main areas of collaboration and the future prospects of the partnership. Participants in the ceremony included Marco Emilio Orlandi, Rector of the University of Milano-Bicocca; Sir Edward Byrne, President of KAUST; Pierre Magistretti, Vice President for Research at KAUST; and Giovanna Iannantuoni, President of Fondazione Bicocca.
The agreement with KAUST therefore represents a further step in the University’s internationalisation process and in building partnerships capable of fostering the exchange of knowledge, expertise and people.
