On Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Global Engagement meeting room at the University of Milano-Bicocca hosted a delegation from the Institute for Physical Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, a leading public research organization active in laser physics, materials science and related fields.
The exploratory meeting, organized thanks to the initiative and networking efforts of Dr. Oksana Koplak, highlighted the immense potential for joint scientific research. Discussions focused on the state-of-the-art equipment available in the Armenian institute's laboratories and opened the door to future joint participation in competitive European funding programs and calls.
The meeting was attended by representatives from both institutions. For the Institute for Physical Research Dr. Aram Manukyan (Head of the Solid State Physics Laboratory), Mrs. Armine Ginoyan (Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Solid State Physics Laboratory). For University of Milano-Bicocca Dr. Oksana Koplak and Prof. Maurizio Acciarri of Department of Materials Science, Dr. Laura Masiero (Grant Office and Tender, LEAR Specialist), Dr. Karla Zavala (Head of International Relations Development Office), Dr. William Cavallo (International Mobility Office) and Dr. Valeria Gatta (International Relations Development Office).
