Admission procedure for candidates holding a foreign degree

Entry requirements

Admission is conditional on the candidate’s academic background. A degree in Economics or related subjects is a preferential title.
Candidates whose first language is not English and whose previous degree has not been taught in English are required to provide evidence of proficiency in English language (oral and written) by submitting one of the following certificates:
BEC Vantage, BEC Higher; CAE, City&Guilds Pitman Qualifications, CPE, FCE, Academic IELTS, ETS-TOEFL, ETS-TOIEC.

The deadline for the submission of one of the above certificates is 31.12.2020. Failure to submit the certificate by the deadline entails cancellation of enrolment and admission to the programme.

Applications open on 20th of April 2020 and close on September 14th 2020, 2.00 p.m CET.
An offer will be made only to applicants that have already completed their undergraduate degree or expect to complete it by 23rd December 2020.

  • Select Registration and follow the instructions 
  • Log in 
  • Select Home
  • Select Evaluation Test
  • Complete the application form and upload the supporting documents
  • Fill in the Admission Questionnaire
  • Submit your application and print it. 

Are you an Non-UE citizen?

You must apply for pre-enrollment through the Italian Embassy (or Consulate) in your country. For further information, visit the link https://en.unimib.it/education/how-enrol

You will be required to upload the following documents
  • Curriculum vitae et studiorum
  • Degree certificate or certificate stating the expected graduation period if not graduate yet (in English or a certified translation in Italian, if not issued in French or Spanish). EU citizens can provide self-declaration (in Italian or English) in substitution for certificates; non EU citizens resident in Italy can provide self-declaration (in Italian or English) only in substitution for certificates issued by Italian authorities.
  • Transcript of records (in English or a certified translation in Italian, if not issued in French or Spanish) giving full details of subjects studied and grades/marks obtained. EU citizens can provide self-declaration (in Italian or English) in substitution for certificates; non EU citizens resident in Italy  can provide self-declaration (in Italian or English) only in substitution for certificates issued by Italian authorities
  • Dichiarazione di Valore in loco (Declaration of Value), issued by the relevant Italian Embassy or Consulate. This is a document that provides information about the Educational System in your Country and compares the qualification level with the Italian Educational System. As an alternative to the "Dichiarazione di Valore in loco", students can submit the DIPLOMA SUPPLEMENT, if issued by the university that issued the degree, or other declaration or certification issued by a foreign official authority or by a ENIC-NARIC center (in Italy you can check the CIMEA website). If not available at the application date, the Dichiarazione di Valore in loco must be submitted within 45 days since the enrolment deadline.  The verification of the Declaration of Value will be carried out by the Foreign Students Office from 15 December 2020 and within 120 days following. Failure to submit the Declaration of Value will entail the formal notification to the Head of the procedure and the suspension of the career of the student in the online Student Registry
  • Evidence of your proficiency in English or statement reporting the expected time of obtaining it
  • If available, detailed program (syllabus) for courses attended.

The admission procedure assigns an interview date to each candidate. 

A Skype interview will be arranged. Please write to [email protected] (Mail subject: Skype interview) to schedule your interview.

Candidates will be informed of the outcome of their application by the 21st September 2020 at the latest. The list of admitted candidates will be published at https://www.unimib.it/ugov/degree/5462 and updated after each round of admission interviews.
