What is the IPT?

It is a competition aimed at students in the bachelor's and master's degree programs in Materials Science and Nanotechnology and Physics. The tournament is divided into two phases: a preparatory phase, during which students—supported by teachers and tutors—work on solving scientific problems, and a final phase, in which teams from different universities and countries compete against each other and discuss their solutions.

The proposed questions address real research issues and require simulations or practical experiments to solve. Problems from previous editions are available for reference on the competition's official website, in the "Problems" section.
