Biography

I am a research fellow at the Department of Sociology and Social Research at the University of Milano-Bicocca.

I joined the Department as post-doc in 2017 and, since that year, I am also a member of the scientific council of the Sociology of Education section of the Italian Sociological Assotiation (AIS-EDU) and of the editorial board of the Journal Scuola Democratica-Learning for Democracy. 

My research interests are mainly in the field of the sociology of education, social inequalities, and qualitative research methods. I have been working in particular on educational transitions at the secondary school level, educational tracking, digitalization in education, and career guidance technologies. More recently I am dealing with inequalities in higher education, students drop-out, and the university experiences of First-Generation-Students. I welcome theses dealing particularly with these themes.
