GUGLIELMETTI GIOVANNI

Professor Guglielmetti is a full professor of Intellectual Property Law at the School of Law of the University of Milan-Bicocca and also teaches Patent Law at the Industrial Biotechnology School of the Science University of Milan-Bicocca.

He frequently lectures at a variety of seminars and symposia on intellectual property matters.

He is member of the Italian group of AIPPI and LES.

Professor Guglielmetti is author of several publications (mainly focusing on patent and copyright law) and sits on the editorial board of various intellectual property reviews, including: “Giurisprudenza annotata di diritto industriale” (Commented Industrial Property Cases), “Annali italiani del diritto d’autore” (Annual Review on Copyright), and Italian IP Courts Case Law Report. He has also published essays articles and notes on the “Rivista di diritto industriale”.

Professor Guglielmetti graduated magna cum laude in 1985 from the University of Milan and obtained his research doctorate in intellectual property law in 1992.

Professor Guglielmetti also practices as a lawyer. He was admitted to the Italian bar in 1990 and may appear before the Italian Supreme Court. He is a partner of BonelliErede in the Milan office and work the Intellectual and intellectual property group of the firm. He focuses on all aspects of intellectual property law (patents and -how, trademarks and other distinctive signs, unfair competition, copyright), advertising law and privacy law.
