Biography
Born in Palermo in 1980, Gabriele attended Palermo University Law Faculty, where he graduated cum laude in 2003.
In 2008 he got a Ph.D. in Commercial Law at University of Catania with a dissertation on the power of the bankruptcy court in the Italian procedure of corporate reorganization (“Concordato preventivo”).
Then he served as assistant researcher in several Universities in Italy.
From 2012 to 2017 he served as non-tenured lecturer in Pisa University Law Faculty, where he lectured Commercial Law and Maritime Law.
From 2018 to 2020 he served as non-tenured lecturer at University of Milano-Bicocca.
Since 2020 he serves as Associate Professor at University of Milano-Bicocca, where he lectures Commercial Law and Comparative Company Law.
He is member of the editorial board of Italian Law Reviews in the field of Company Law, Financial Markets, Banking Law and Maritime Law.
He published several essays, comments to courts’ decisions, commentaries and two books.
In 2016 he was Research Fellow at City University of London.
He is Research Fellow at Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privat- und Wirtschaftsrecht of the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg (Germany)
