Biography
I earned a Ph.D. in Political Studies from the University of Milan in 2016, after spending training periods at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, USA) and the School of Economics and Finance (Ministry of Economy and Finance - Rome). Since March 2022, I have been a Researcher (RTD-B) at the Department of Sociology and Social Research at the University of Milan - Bicocca, where I teach the course "Public Policies: Decision, Implementation, and Evaluation." My research focuses on comparative politics: my work, published in international scientific journals, addresses topics such as policy preferences and voting behavior of outsiders in the labor market, the relationship between political parties and trade unions, the crisis of mainstream political parties and the success of populist parties, responsiveness, quantitative methods for political science, and public policy evaluation. More recently, I have initiated research on women in politics in terms of access to office, ideological and policy preferences, and rhetorical styles. I serve as the representative of researchers on the Executive Committee of the Italian Political Science Association (SISP) and I am a member of the Editorial Boards of the Italian Journal of Public Policy (Il Mulino) and the journal SN Social Sciences (Springer Nature). I coordinate the local unit of the Department of Sociology and Social Research for the 2022 PRIN project 'The visual politics of populism' (SH2 sector, project no. 20222ERHBA, principal investigator Mattia Zulianello, University of Trieste).
