The webinar addresses the current discussion on end-of-life issues with particular focus on assisted suicide, euthanasia, and the participation of terminally ill patients in scientific research. The main ethical and legal issues will be addressed as they have emerged in the European context.
SPEAKER
Silvia Salardi is Associate Professor of Philosophy of Law and Bioethics. She has dedicated the past 15 years to analysing and discussing changes brought about by emerging technologies within medicine and to proposing governance pathways to address the ethical-legal questions arising from unprecedented technological innovation.
