On Tuesday, 12 November at 10:30 AM, the Inauguration Ceremony will include Professor Carlos Moreno's Lectio Magistralis: "Proximity and urban regeneration: 15-minute cities for a more inclusive future"".
A world-renowned urban planner specializing in complex systems and urban issues, Professor Moreno is the creator of the "15-minute city" concept. This urban development model focuses on community well-being and the right to live in a more sustainable and inclusive environment. His spatial planning theory, based on the principle of spatial-temporal proximity, has inspired cities across various continents.
The entire academic community is invited to attend. Registration for in-person participation is open until 6 November, and the ceremony will be streamed online. Staff are authorized to attend during working hours.

Carlos Moreno
Born in Colombia in 1959 and living in France since 1979, Carlos Moreno is Professor of Urban Planning and Innovation Theory at the Sorbonne-Panthéon University in Paris. He is also the scientific director of the ETI Chair at the university's business school. In Italy, he chairs the Scientific Committee of the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators. As well as teaching, he is a consultant to international organisations such as UNESCO and the World Bank. In 2024 he published *La città dei 15 minuti* with Add Editore.
