Background and objectives of the agreement
The University of Milano-Bicocca, Fondazione Bicocca and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) are entering into a prestigious strategic alliance aimed at consolidating and strengthening academic and scientific cooperation on a global scale.
The agreement is intended to build a strong bridge between Italy and Saudi Arabia in advanced research and higher education. The Memorandum of Understanding will lead to the launch of joint projects and open up new, concrete opportunities for mobility and exchange for faculty members, researchers and students from both universities.
Speakers
During the official ceremony, the main guidelines, strategic research areas and future prospects of the agreement will be presented.
Speakers will include:
- Professor Marco Emilio Orlandi – Rector of the University of Milano-Bicocca
- Sir Edward Byrne – President of KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology)
- Professor Pierre Magistretti – Vice President for Research at KAUST
- Professor Giovanna Iannantuoni – President of Fondazione Bicocca
