Biography

Davide Chicco is a scientific researcher who works in computational intelligence, bioinformatics, and health informatics. In the past, he has worked at the University of Toronto (Canada) and in other scientific research centres in Toronto. He is the author of the article "The advantages of the Matthews correlation coefficient (MCC) over F1 score and accuracy in binary classification evaluation", he has been a general chair for the CIBB 2021 conference, and he is a scientific associate editor for the PeerJ Computer Science and BMC Bioinformatics journal.
