Biography

Reefs and other marine bioconstructions as geo-historical structures are the focus of my research. I'm expert in the taxonomy, ecology and biomineralization of calcareous algae, living and fossils, that were the subject of my doctoral thesis. I use the paleontological methods for the reconstruction of the recent environmental history of the marine shelf environments, through the interpretation of the past benthic associations recorded in sediments and build-ups.
