
CANELLA CRISTINA
Biography
Cristina Canella is a PhD student in Marine Sciences, Technology and Management with an expertise in science-policy interfaces. The topic of her research interests is biodiversity conservation on Small Island Developing States (SIDS): marine protected areas (MPAs), other effective area-based conservation measures (OECMs), as well as sustainable artisanal fisheries. In her PhD research, Cristina aims to build a legal pathway for representative MPA networks and implement OECMs in the Maldives.
