After obtaining the PhD, BDC moved to the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta" at Politecnico of Milano, where she participated in research project aimed at synthesizing nanostructured self-sensing and mechano-chemically active polymeric materials (2011-2013). From July 2013 to February 2015 she was recipient of a post doc fellowship at the University of Milano Bicocca (Project on oxide materials for energy and environmental applications and Shape controlled inorganic fillers for rubber nanocomposite materials). In March 2015, she became Assistant Professor of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Milano-Bicocca. She coordinates the activity research of PhD students of CORIMAV (Consortium for research on materials between the University of Milano-Bicocca and Pirelli Company). She teaches Laboratory of General Chemistry and Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry I for Degree in Chemical Sciences and Technologies.
BDC has advanced experimental background in design and development of nanocomposite, hybrid and smart materials, as well as deep knowledge in inorganic chemistry. Her research interests are nanostructured oxides and organic-inorganic hybrid materials for environmental cleaning (photocatalysis), design and development of rubber composite
BDC is member of “Group for promotion activities and support for research and its exploitation” of University of Mialno-Bicocca and member of PhD Council on Materials Science and Nanotechnology, PhD Programme of University of Milano-Bicocca.
She is Unit Coordinator of Project “Design di materiali polimerici nanocompositi ad alta prestazione mediante Risonanza Magnetica Nucleare” (2017-2020) Call Regione Toscana POR FSE 2014-2020. She is involved in a research project of the Italian Ministry of Scientific Research (PRIN 2017, Project “Towards sustainable, high-performing, all-solid-state sodium-ion batteries”; Coordinator Prof. P. Mustarelli (Università degli studi di Pavia).
She is or has been principal investigator for 3 (2019, 2017, 2015-2020) research projects with Pirelli Tyre SpA
She received FFABR grant 2017(Fondo per il finanziamento delle attività base di ricerca), financed by ANVUR (Agenzia Nazionale di Valutazione del sistema Universitario e della Ricerca).
She was partecipant of the several national and international founded projects.
