Biography

Arturo Patarnello is full professor of banking at University of Milano-Bicocca. He was Head of the Department of Business and Law in the same university until July 2020. His recent works focus on credit risk management and internal rating models of banks as well as on corporate financing and related risks. Patarnello has often worked as a consultant for primary listed and unlisted companies in the strategic areas of the organizational and operational re-design and in the field of company valuations. He also acted on behalf of the national supervisory authorities Banca d’Italia in resolution procedures concerning distress cases of banks and other financial intermediaries
