Biography

Andrea Cerroni is a sociologist of knowledge and heads the Master in Communication of Science and Sustainable Innovation (www.MaCSIS.unimib.it). Graduated in Physics and with experience as a Controller in high-tech companies, he was the National Delegate Representative for Italy in the Programme committee - Science in society for the 7th European Framework Programme. Associate Professor since 2016, in 2018 he obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor in the scientific-disciplinary field SPS/08 "Sociology of cultural and communicative processes". Among his research interests:

  • sociology of technology
  • democracy and knowledge
  • contemporary sociological imagination
  • theoretical-methodological foundations of social science
  • theory of the knowledge-society
  • risk perception and communication.
