
TELARI ALESSIA
Biography
Alessia Telari is a Ph.D. student in the Psychology, Linguistics, and Cognitive Neuroscience program and a member of the Social Connections & Technology LAB at the University of Milano-Bicocca.
Her primary research interests lie in social exclusion, social connectedness, and the role of technology in these dynamics. Her Ph.D. project explores the impact of digital technologies—including social media, artificial intelligence systems, and smartphones—on social connections, examining both their potential to interfere with and facilitate these relationships. Specifically, she investigates digital ostracism phenomena, such as ghosting and phubbing, as well as the impact of AI-based chatbots on feelings of connectedness.
