ASTROPHYSICS AND SPACE PHYSICS
The Master’s Degree in Astrophysics and Space Physics belongs to the Class of Sciences of the Universe (LM58). The nominal duration of the Course is two years. In order to obtain the Master Degree it is necessary to acquire 120 Course Credits (CFU), among which 66 are obtained through final exams and 54 obtained writing and editing a Master Thesis (53 CFU) of high research content and novelty while 1 additional CFU is acquired by exploiting additional educational activities.
The official language is Italian. Selected courses are taught in English.
At the end of the Master Course we release the Master’s Degree in Astrophysics and Space Physics The Master’s Degree allows access to: PhD or/and Master courses of advanced level (level II) present at the University of Milano Bicocca and in Universities and Research Centers worldwide.
The Master’s Degree provides solid training in fields associated to Astrophysics, Physics and Math. Students are trained to tackle complexities related to the acquisition and analysis of large bodies of astronomical data and their physical interpretation as well as complexities in the development of astronomical instrumentation of high technological content. They are trained to become scientists in universities and research centers, as researchers in industries, as school teachers, as software developers, as experts in science communication.
