Biography

Since 2019, Lia Tirabeni, PhD in Sociology, is Assistant Professor in Sociology of Organizations (SPS/09) at the University of Milan Bicocca, Department of Sociology and Social Research. Previously, she has been lecturer of organization studies for the Degree Courses in Business Economics and Psychology of Work and Organizations at the University of Turin and at the Polytechnic of Turin. She has been research fellow at the Department of Cultures, Politics and Society (University of Turin). She carried out a period of research and study abroad as Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Management Science and Technology of the University of Athens (Athens University of Economics and Business) and at the Business School of the same university. She is Associate Editor of the journal "Studi Organizzativi".
 

Research

(Main) research interests:

Organizational theory, organizational behavior and technology organizational culture and identity, organizational well-being; the relationship between technology and organizational processes, in particular the study of the interaction between social actors and technological artifacts for self-tracking in the organization, with an approach that lies at the intersection between organizational theory and Science and Technology Studies (STS).

Qualitative research methodologies and techniques in the organization field in particular, case study method, organizational ethnography; interest in post-qualitative research methodologies of a critical stance applied in the organizational field.
