The social behaviors among freshwater turtles were observed by researchers from the University of Milano-Bicocca as part of a reintroduction project of the species in the Montevecchia and Curone Valley parks. The study was published in Animals journal

RENOIR fiber muscle

The University of Milano-Bicocca is leading RENOIR, an international, multi-discipline research project which aims to improve the quality of life of people affected by muscular dystrophy


Starting in September 2020, a group of suppliers from the University of Surrey and University of Milano – Bicocca, in collaboration with SAGA Space Architects, will investigate the psychological impacts of social isolation in a lunar environment, in view of the NASA 2024 mission.


Through analysis of the sFlt1 marker produced by endothelial cells, the study explains how the virus could directly infect the inner surface of vessels in patients with thrombotic complications.


The university is supporting the fundraising campaign in aid of intensive care services at the San Gerardo Hospital in Monza and the Milan Cancer Institute. Meanwhile, university employees are donating part of the salary to the Monza hospital
